Waiting

"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. ... I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry” (Psalm 27:14, 40:1)

Girlfriends, waiting is sooooo hard!

Upon what do you wait today?
Knowledge? Insight? Discernment?
Relief from pain? Healing for you or a loved one?
Financial rescue? A job? A move?
Assistance in a relationship? A marriage? Parenthood?
Revelation of your purpose? Of God's plan for your life?

In every season of life, you will find yourself in the waiting room at one point or another.
How will you wait? Full of worry and anxiety, rocking  in the chair but going nowhere? Or will you abide in Jesus and rest in His peace?

We are called to do our part to seek God's will. But when the answers do not come in a reasonable time-frame, we are also called to wait. During the waiting stage, Girlfriends, do not worry or be anxious. Find something else productive and God-honoring to do and apply yourself. Call upon a friend for support and a reminder to bring your thoughts captive to Christ.

"My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him (Psalm 62:5).

Waiting is hard, yet not impossible; however, waiting is a choice. You must choose to wait in peace, free from worry. Waiting is disciplined obedience to God's Word. Ladies, today let us sing praises and celebrate past victories as we faithfully wait upon our Lord.  We do not have all of the answers right now, but God does. That knowledge alone gives me pause and a purpose. I trust in Jesus. Do you?

And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. Galatians 6:9
Be strong as you wait! I believe in you!
