Over the course of my lifetime, I have found the wisdom of Proverbs 16:9 proven true time after time. Whether planning for college, a wedding, pregnancy, a move, a career, or simply a weekend get-away, the steps rarely seem to match the course I originally envision. And so it continues with this blog....

Each day when I sit down to write, I praise the Lord in thanksgiving for the gift He grants me. My joy is writing to my Girlfriends with the Lord directing the flow of script. Rarely does the finished product reflect the sketchy outline in my head from which I began to type. My prayer is for His message to flow through me into the hearts of the readers. According to the feedback you ladies send me, God is speaking loudly and clearly. Thank you for supporting me!

Who Am I

I have been writing for as long as I can remember: diary, journals, poems, short stories, essays, term papers, grocery lists, yellow post-it notes to self...you get the picture. Speaking of pictures, I also love taking them as well. Having children provides plenty of photo opportunities. My husband cringes with every life event as he heads to Best Buy to purchase a larger external hard drive for the thousands of photos I have captured. (Secretly, he loves the challenge, and what man does not like the sound of "more terabytes," arrrr!)

Moving around as a child prepared me for life with my husband. We have relocated homes innumerable times in our marriage. God has blessed us in each location with amazing friends and neighbors, many of whom I include as Girlfriends in my writing. Little did they know that one day their shared experiences with me would be fodder for a blog, especially since 'blog" was not even a word during most of those moves!

Why I Write This Blog

God has been pursuing me all my life. I felt His tug as a child, but I did not answer and begin my close walk with Him until adulthood. Over the last twenty+ years, He placed in my path wonderful women who planted, watered, and tended to the seeds of faith that have blossomed into a phenomenal relationship with Jesus. The journey continues today! 

In 2012, the word STORY became my motivation to observe, listen, and write about life experiences. With the encouragement of my Girlfriends, I went public on this blog. My goal is to integrate my story, your stories, and God's story into devotionals that encourage, inform, inspire, and invite you, my Girlfriends, and others in your circle of influence, to embrace the Gospel and to seek a deep, intimate relationship with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I am blessed to call you "GIRLFRIEND!"
